The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an important entry-level position within our company. Starting pay is $12 per hour and is great for college students or recent grads! This position is a point of contact for thousands of writers who apply throughout the year. TAS’s review resumes, score sample papers, schedule and conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations for freelance writers.
A successful candidate has a high level of productivity and is willing to meet hiring quotas. A positive attitude and quick problem solving skills are highly desired. TAS’s also need to be prepared to work autonomously or with another member of the department, as volume demands. Gmail, Google Drive documents, and Microsoft Word are used extensively, in addition to an ATS and the Ultius administrator site.
Description and Job Duties
Review freelance writer applications.
Spot grammatical errors and writing ability while reviewing samples of written work. (Very important)
Conduct multiple phone interviews per day.
Report any unforeseen obstacles to the T&C Manager.
Adapt to a specific hiring method, and adjust when needed.
Strong proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and a solid working knowledge of computer systems.
Academic style writing and formatting knowledge.
Superior communication skills and decorum.
Self-starter with a high level of drive.
An eye for detail, particularly in spotting inconsistencies in applications.
One or more years of recruiting is a plus.
This is a local position in sunny Las Vegas, NV. Our office is conveniently located near Rainbow and Sahara. Snacks and beverages are provided by the company at no cost to the employee. The office staff also includes Client Success, Growth Department, Product (engineering), and Talent & Compliance.
The position is currently a variable hour position offering 20-40 hours per week, which fluctuates throughout the year. We offer a flexible schedule, with preferred daytime hours Monday-Friday.
All employees receive paid time off and sick time after 90 days of service. Variable hour positions are offered when we aren’t sure if you will work full-time or part-time hours. After working for a period of about six months, you will be evaluated and given a full time or part time status, based upon hours worked. Company sponsored medical, dental, and vision may be available to full-time employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week.
